Data Synchronization: Adding Value To the Middle Tier

Dreaming of the day that store receivers stop refusing your products because the
product isn't yet authorized in their database? Tired of retailers having product prices that don't match your invoice? Someday this may all be possible through data synchronization. Learn what data synch means for your business and what is expected from the wholesaler tier. Come and see what is the future outlook of data synchronization and how wholesalers can add value to the distribution channel and strengthen the supply chain.

Speakers: Kevin Krygier, Ahold USA
Ann Dozier, Coca-Cola Enterprises
Ed Licul, IBM

Global Data Synchronization (GDS) is vital to the accurate flow of business information between trading partners and it is one of the major supply chain initiatives in the 21st Century. This session will help you prepare for the synchronization process by providing you with an overview of data synchronization within the direct-store-delivery (DSD) environment and address challenges of sharing information at the store level. Attendees will learn about the roles within a Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) which provides a single point of entry, Global Registry (GS1), for trading partners and interoperability between data pools.
