Alexandria, VA – The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) is proud to announce that Vice President of Membership and Meetings Patti Rouzie was awarded the Barbara Pratt Lee Heart of Gold Award at the Campagna Center’s 2008 Celebration of Service Gala held February 23 at the Westin Alexandria in Alexandria, Virginia. Rouzie received the award for her creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to philanthropy and the Campagna Center, a non-profit human services organization serving children and families in need.
“Patti is a deserving recipient of this great award,” said NBWA President Craig Purser. “She is a dedicated team member and leader at NBWA, and her ‘heart of gold’ leadership and dedication extend into her community through her volunteerism.”
Over the past eight years, Rouzie has been involved in every aspect of the Campagna Center. She has served for six years on the Junior Friends Board which supports the Center through fundraising and volunteer support. Rouzie served as program liaison for two years and has co-chaired numerous Center fundraising events including the Celebration of Service Gala and the Toast to Alexandria.
“America’s beer distributors are deeply rooted in their communities and give back through countless philanthropic programs, so it’s very fitting that Patti spends so much time, energy and effort in her community to improve the lives of people who live right down the street from where we work,” added Purser.
