LAS VEGAS, NV – The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA), representing the interests of more than 2,750 beer distributors throughout the country, today unveiled a new video that highlights the role that distributors play in ensuring a wide selection of beer in the marketplace for consumers. The brief music video debuted this morning to a crowd of over 2,500 at NBWA’s 70th Annual Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas.
The video, titled Mr. Beer Guy, captures a day in the life of a beer distributor – which begins well before dawn – and highlights the many jobs that distributors perform in order to deliver a vast array of fresh, quality products to retailers and consumers safely and responsibly.
“There are over 13,000 brands of beer available to consumers in America,” said NBWA President Craig Purser. “Mr. Beer Guy describes how beer distributors are the link between those thousands of brands and your local store shelf or bar tap. The working men and women in the beer distribution industry are truly every day heroes to millions of consumers across the country.”
The video features the ways in which beer distributors deliver beer safely and responsibly within state regulations that serve to ensure an orderly marketplace.
NBWA Board Chair Betty Buck said, “Whether it’s reviewing a retailer’s alcohol beverage license or providing responsibility materials for retail establishments, beer distributors always keep consumer safety top of mind. This video is a great representation of the safe and efficient way that we do business.”
