While home in his congressional district, Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-1) recently made a stop at Coors of Longview, Inc. in Longview, Texas.
“We’re grateful that Congressman Gohmert was able to take the time to come see our warehouse operations and visit with our employees,” said Coors of Longview President Les Kroeger. “It’s great for a member of Congress to see firsthand the work that beer distributors do on a daily basis.”
While visiting the Coors of Longview warehouse and facilities, Congressman Gohmert was able to watch how beer distributors work hard every day to safely, efficiently and responsibly deliver alcohol through the regulated system of state controls. Because of Coors of Longview’s more than 50 employees – and the rest of the 95,000 hard-working men and women employed by the American beer distribution industry – every case of beer can be traced from the moment it leaves a brewer or importer until the time it reaches a store shelf or bar tap.
The visit also provided the Coors of Longview employees an opportunity to update Congressman Gohmert on issues of importance to America’s beer distributors, including the value of strengthening a state’s ability to regulate alcohol.
