Illinois Beer Distributor Promotes Brews for Barbecues on Chicago News Show
Lincolnwood, Illinois-based beer distributor Louis Glunz Beer, Inc. used the summer grill-out season and the Independence Day holiday as a chance to showcase a few of the more than 13,000 labels of beer available to consumers across the United States.
Anthony Norkus, craft and specialty brands manager for Louis Glunz Beer, Inc., paid a visit to the set of Chicago’s top-rated ABC7 TV Weekend Morning News show over the Fourth of July weekend to promote “brews for barbeques.”
Norkus presented American craft beers paired with favorite grilled foods and gave tips on how viewers could navigate the beer aisle and impress their guests at Fourth of July and other summer barbecues. Among the pairings featured were:
- Capital U.S. Pale Ale with a classic hamburger and cheeseburger
- North Coast Scrimshaw Pilsner with grilled bratwurst and hot dogs
- Revolution Bottom Up Wit with a grilled seafood skewer
- Anchor Liberty Ale with grilled steak and baby back ribs
- New Holland Golden Cap Saison Ale with herbed chicken.
America’s beer distributors enjoy helping craft brewers grow and compete by helping small brewers access a wide network of retailers through a regulated system. It’s this system of state-based alcohol distribution that allows for new beer brands and innovative beer styles to be introduced to markets across the country.
