U.S. Representative Sean Duffy (WI-7) got an inside look at the beer distribution industry when he stopped by Central Beer Distributors, Inc. in Rothschild, Wisconsin.

During the visit, Rep. Duffy took a tour of the warehouse and met with the company leadership, including CEO/Owner Dean Schmalz, President Kim Fischer, General Manager/Vice President Mike Fischer and Operations Manager Brian Leiterman.  He also took the time to visit with some of the company’s more than 40 employees including drivers, night loading team, general sales manager, graphics manager and other office staff.

The company’s leadership team used the time with Rep. Duffy to update him on policy issues important to America’s beer distributors, including the three-tier system of alcohol distribution and the value of reaffirming a state’s ability to regulate alcohol.

“Rep. Duffy was very eager to learn about the beer industry,” said CEO/Owner Dean Schmalz. “He was very approachable and positive about the three-tier system.”

The visit was Rep. Duffy’s first to the company.  Those who visit Central Beer Distributors, Inc. – or any of the 3,300 licensed beer distributorships throughout the United States – are able to witness firsthand the critical role beer distributors play in safely, efficiently and responsibly delivering beer through the regulated system of state controls.
