NBWA Encourages Distributors to Share Responsibility Initiatives on Interactive Website

If you are a distributor who sponsors responsibility programs – like safe rides home, programs with law enforcement officials or speakers about the consequences of underage drinking – or you have launched an environmental initiative such as the use of alternative fuels or clean energy, NBWA encourages you to share your efforts!

Distributors are invited to submit details of successful programs at www.DistributorResponsibility.com . Using a simple online form, you can submit your initiatives in seconds. Your stories will then become part of the interactive website, which helps educate legislators, regulators, community leaders, media and the public about the important role of beer distributors in the United States. The site is also a great forum for distributors to obtain ideas for new responsibility programs and learn from fellow distributors’ best practices.

“Beer distributors around the country are leaders in their communities as small business owners, civic activists, parents and philanthropists,” said NBWA Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs Rebecca Spicer. “They play a vital role in their communities by sponsoring a vast array of programs that promote responsible consumption. Just as alcohol regulations vary from state to state, so do distributor- sponsored responsibility programs. All of the programs, however, share a common goal: to keep the communities where our families live, work and play safe.”

When someone clicks on your state on the website’s interactive map, make sure they see your company as one of the faces of the American beer distribution industry.  Visit www.DistributorResponsibility.com today and start spreading the word about your company’s initiatives!
