NBWA Hosts “Taste of the Holidays” on Capitol Hill
The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) recently partnered with the Brewers Association to host the annual “Taste of the Holidays” event on Capitol Hill. Members of Congress, their staffs, media, industry friends and others had the opportunity to sample some of the 13,000 labels of beers available across the country.
Showcasing a sampling of beers from some of America’s 1,500 breweries, the event highlighted how the American system of state-based alcohol regulation helps entrepreneurial brewers grow, provides access to market for beers of all styles and flavors and delivers the widest selection of beer in the world.
“We are proud to highlight the strengths of the American system of alcohol regulation in the U.S. that creates a level playing field for brewers of all types and sizes – from entrepreneurial craft labels to large national brands and imports from countries around the world,” said NBWA President Craig Purser. “Beer distributors work hard in communities from coast to coast to help those craft brands, and every other brand, get to store shelves and bar taps and into the marketplace.”
The time-tested system of state-based alcohol distribution provides consumers with unparalleled choice and variety while providing transparency and accountability.
