Pennsylvania Beer Distributor Honors Veterans Through America’s Favorite Pastime

David Rose, president of W & L Sales, and a local veteranTo show appreciation for the veterans who have served our country, W & L Sales Company of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, invited local veterans and their families to a picnic at the Harrisburg Senators Metro Bank Park one recent summer weekend for a day of family, fun and America’s favorite pastime –baseball.

The distributorship provided more than 235 veterans and their families with food, beverages and tickets to attend the Harrisburg Senators vs. Reading Phillies baseball game. W&L Sales Company currently employs more than 100 individuals, several of which are veterans working in the distributorship’s sales force and warehouse.

“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to honor those people that have served by providing them with an evening of family fun and appreciation,” said David Rose, President of W&L Sales Company. “What better way to cap off the Memorial Day holiday than by giving back to the military in our community who preserve and protect our freedom every day.”

Once area veterans began returning home to Harrisburg, W&L acted quickly to organize the event. The distributorship worked with their internal brand managers who work closely day in and day out with the Harrisburg Senators to organize the event for the veterans.
