U.S. Rep. Randy Weber Visits Del Papa Distributing’s Texas City Facility
U.S. Representative Randy Weber (TX-14) recently visited Del Papa Distributing Company’s distribution center in Texas City. Del Papa President Larry Del Papa guided Congressman Weber on a tour of the facility, which opened in the spring of 2012.
“It was an honor to welcome Congressman Weber to our Texas City distribution center to meet many of our employees and to learn more about the critical role beer distributors play in delivering choice and variety to consumers,” said Del Papa. “We appreciated the opportunity to speak with the congressman about the regulatory, economic and commercial value beer distribution companies like ours bring to our communities and the crucial role we play in our state’s licensed alcohol beverage distribution system.”
During the tour, Del Papa gave an overview of the company’s corporate social responsibility programs and community giving initiatives. Congressman Weber also learned about the services Del Papa Distributing provides to its retail customers and the extensive number of product choices it brings to market for consumers in his congressional district.
In 2010 Del Papa Distributing Company celebrated 100 years of business. From its founding by an Italian immigrant, Omero Del Papa, in Galveston in 1910, to its current operations distributing a variety of brands throughout the Texas Gulf Coast in three major markets, Del Papa is committed to supporting and strengthening the many communities in which its customers and employees live.
“Del Papa Distributing Company represents quality people building brands and friendships… one case at a time,” Del Papa said.
