Statement from NBWA President Craig Purser on the Passing of American Beverage Licensees Executive Director Harry Wiles
ALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) was sad to learn that Harry Wiles, longtime industry advocate and Executive Director of the American Beverage Licensees (ABL) – the trade group representing beverage retailers – passed away yesterday morning. NBWA President Craig Purser issued the following statement remembering Harry’s life and contributions:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Harry’s wife Cindy, the Wiles family, the American Beverage Licensees board members and ABL staff during this difficult time.
While Harry was a tireless advocate for the licensed beverage industry and a reliable and steadfast leader, first and foremost he was a true friend. From his time working on behalf of wine and spirits wholesalers, to his position as leader of ABL, Harry was a champion for the industry and a cherished colleague. He will be sorely missed by all of us who had the fortune of knowing him.”
