Home Prices Rose 1.3% in May, But Don't Expect it to Last

Home prices rose 1.3% in the 20 biggest cities from April to May, a report Tuesday by the Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller index found. The jump is largely due to the heavy spring buying season and the residual impact of a home buyer tax credit that expired April 30.
