TX: Beer distributor goes the extra mile for military troops
Texas's Standard Sales Co. recently raised/donated enough money to send 10,000 snacks to troops deployed to the Middle East. The idea was inspired by an email sent to a Standard Sales Company sales manager by a retail partner urging participation in a food drive for troops in Afghanistan. The partner explained, with the current border issues, that supply lines to the troops face increased difficulty. Standard Sales Co. in Lubbock, San Angelo and Odessa, responded in a big way, raising more than $5,000 in donations and company matches.
