Miller Lite will honor America's first female brewer with a special Fourth of July can | NBWA: America's Beer and Beverage Distributors

This Fourth of July, Miller Lite will honor a lesser-known brewer from the 18th century with a new can release. For a limited time, a batch of their iconic white cans will feature an image of Mary Lisle, America's first brewster (a female brewer). According to the National Women's History Museum, Lisle was granted the title in 1734 when she took over her father's brewhouse in Philadelphia. Miller Lite will also donate $5 from any case purchased online between June 27 and July 4 to the Pink Boots Society. This non-profit organization supports women working in the brewing profession.
