ALEXANDRIA, VA – Yesterday the Brewers Association (BA) issued a “Small Brewer Statement on the Importance of an Independent Three-Tier Distribution System.”  In response, the National Beer Wholesalers Association issued the following statement:

NBWA is pleased that the Brewers Association (BA) has weighed in on the importance of independent beer distributors.  Laws that facilitate the separation of the three tiers are essential to ensuring that today’s new entrepreneurial brewers have the best opportunity to get established, grow and flourish in today’s competitive marketplace.  An independent three tier system works to ensure that consumers have access to the widest selection of beer styles and brands.  NBWA supports the ability of states to create laws that allow for the differentiation of regulations based on a brewer’s size.
