This week, America’s independent beer distributors are working hard to supply bars, taverns and restaurants with a vast variety of beers for the Halloween weekend celebration. While Halloween dates back more than 1,000 years, more recently, it has become an opportunity for on-premise retailers to showcase their Halloween promotions and generate incremental traffic.
Halloween is the sixth largest on-premise beer holiday of the year and represents an opportunity for legal age consumers to show their imagination and creativity while enjoying their preferred beverage of choice -- beer.
According to NBWA – Fintech Analytics, Halloween ranks sixth for on-premise beer consumption, trailing just behind Memorial Day and NCAA basketball. For the holiday, on-premise retailers will be serving primarily draft beer, which outsells bottles almost two-to-one, according to Fintech.
