Beer distributors that are considering investing in green or sustainable technologies should consult the following resources that can help businesses easily locate incentives that may be available to them.
The DSIRE website offers a state-by-state listing of incentives available to businesses and individuals who are interested in investing in renewable or sustainable energy. Distributors can see what benefits are available in their state by visiting http://www.dsireusa.org/.
Established in 1995, DSIRE is an ongoing project of the North Carolina Solar Center and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council. It is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The site is administered by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, which is operated for DOE by the Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC.
For information on incentives related to alternate fuel vehicles or other incentives related to truck fleets, distributors are encouraged to visit the Department of Energy’s website featuring the Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicle Data Center.
This website provides visitors with a map of state-by-state incentives available to businesses or individuals who plan to invest in alternate fuels or new, hybrid vehicle technologies.
Additionally, distributors that are considering alternative fuels should consult with their local Clean Cities Coalitions to learn about local assistance that may be available to them as they prepare to invest in green technologies.
For more information about these resources or other emerging technologies of interest to the NBWA Innovation & Technology Committee, please contact NBWA Vice President, State Affairs Dave Christman at 800-300-6417 or email@example.com.
